Activity 6

The cell phone researcher’s synthesis found that there was inconclusive evidence about cell phone use being harmful, but that the safe answer would be to limit cell phone use. This seems to be a credible conclusion for the information.

I have also decided that the debate about organic milk being worth the extra expense is inconclusive. Companies that sell organic milk or promote organic foods are all for organic milk, but the solid research has not found this to be conclusive. Time and more research will provide more concrete evidence about the extent to which growth hormone is harmful. Just because a product carries an organic label doesn’t ensure that the product has the highest quality. There are many different levels of food production that can qualify for an organic label. It would be wonderful to have a more precise definition of organic food. My conclusion is to by from a local dairy that has pasture fed hormone free cows, but it not certified organic. I like being able to see the dairy with my own eyes, support the local economy, buy milk that I know has the added nutrients, and find a mid price range between organic milk and regular milk purchased at the grocery store.
